Seriously though, this weekend is in fact my 25th birthday which is a pretty big deal, right? I thought in celebration I would teach everyone a little bit about my sun sign, Pisces (and therefore a little about me), since it is obviously the most superior sign in the zodiac. If you don't believe in astrology, then chances are you've never read up on your own sign and realized how crazy accurate the characteristics are. And if you hate the idea of astrology, then too bad, go read some other blog, you skeptic.
All of the following information is taken from "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need" by Joanna Martine Woolfolk. (You really should own this book. It is a blast to bring out at social gatherings and just blow minds.)Tidbits about Pisces:
- Most likable trait: compassion
- Pisces is receptive, intuitive and emotional, imaginative, romantic, impressionable and mystical, adaptable, and very changeable.
- Hidden depths, shifting emotional currents, conflicting desires, and extremes of temperament. Pisces is the sign of dreams and mysticism
- Pisces have beautifully shaped feet. Just saying.
- Pisceans have a high susceptibility to alcohol and drugs (not me, just generally speaking).
- Easily drawn into unpredictable situations and unbalanced people (oops)
- Old souls
- Ability to see deeply into the human psyche
- Gift of prophecy (aka psychic)
- Feel things before you know them and your feelings are rarely wrong
- Superb intuitions and a seemingly bottomless understanding of other people
- Learning to say no can be a lifetime project
- Impractical and fall prey to overindulgence (I didn't say they were all good traits)
- Tendency to flee from what you don't want to deal with
- Despite the fact that you work unselfishly for others, you find it hard to be strict and disciplined with yourself.
- Most successful as a writer, musician or artist.
- Intensely imaginative and addicted to make-believe
- Most creative artist in the zodiac
- Guide, teacher and role model to many
- Fey charmer and a mischievous wit who loves to laugh
- Prefer to work alone
- Capable of high intellectual achievement
- Magnetic, mysterious, engaging and delightful personality is heightened by an intriguing sense of drama
- Loyal, unselfish and generous
- Perceptive
- Sentimental
- Greatest strength is giving to others
- Everyone things you are his or her special friend
- Sparkling social presence
- Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac, or a culmination of the signs, making it and its natives the most beloved sign of the zodiac. Boomshakalaka.
- Taurus
- Cancer
- Scorpio (an ideal mating)
- Capricorn

Famous people who share the joy of being a Pisces:
Kurt Cobain (Starting off strong)

Elizabeth Taylor (Supposedly my doppelganger, but I feel that's flawed because I smile a lot and it's nearly impossible to find a photo of her smiling and, well just look at her.)

Drew Barrymore (I actually like her, so haters to the left.)

Alexander Graham Bell (ever heard of the telephone??)

Johnny Cash (We are actual birthday buddies)

Albert Einstein (Really, with the hair?)

Kelsey Grammer (I miss Frasier.)

George Harrison (also known as my favorite Beatle)
Michael Vartan (Too bad Pisces and Pisces is a bad match, you know, romantically.)
Jack Kerouac (Pretty handsome guy!)
John Steinbeck (Not-so-handsome guy)

Darryl Strawberry (I know he's like more known for his time in New York, but I bleed Dodger blue.)
Gloria Vanderbilt (She spawned this.)
George Washington (Pretty obscure, not sure you've heard of him.)

Bruce Willis (How so ageless?)

Charles Barkley (You know, the guy from Space Jam)

Steve Jobs (Thought about just putting a picture of my iPod, George, but I didn't want to disrespect the evil genius.)

I thought there was another worth mentioning, but who could it be?.......Oh, YEAH:
Justin Bieber (I think I've made my feelings about him pretty clear.)
So what did we learn from all this? Pisces are the coolest. And I can either end up being a great American novelist, a hot actor/actress, revolutionary technologist, world/life-changing ridiculously talented musician, legendary athlete, famous heiress with an even more famous (and hot) son, a genius, an American revolutionist/president, or Frasier.
Predictions?

I found this blog by accident by googling a question about zodiac signs. I'm very glad I stubbled here by mistake, because your comments had me laughing and highly entertained! Thank you! I too have Woolfolk's book and am a Piscean.
ReplyDeleteAt 25 you are still a baby! Save your tears for forty! Have a great year, young lady!
